Legacy Home Improvement is Cedar Rapid’s #1 source for deck remodeling and repair. In this case we were called to help a customer fix a deck remodel project that another contractor had messed up. Check out these pictures that were taken one month after these homeowners had just spent $10,000 to have there old wood deck and rail replaced with composite.

These pictures only show a fraction of issues with the deck remodel, mainly in the close ups but there are numerous aesthetic issues throughout. Additioanlly there were multiple building code violations. Unfortunately the homeowners paid the other contractor and hired us to redo the deck again. We remodeled the deck in PVC decking and aluminum railing. Legacy Home Improvement pulled a permit unlike the previous contractor and we passed the final inspection and the homeowners are so happy with their new deck!
